Just like when you were 17 years old, sitting in last period with 30 minutes left to go, you can’t wait to get to the weekend. We feel you. Not that we’re saying you’re doodling or passing notes, but you at least have a bit more juice left, right? Why not take some time to prep for next week by reading a few articles that I came across this week that could help make you slightly more productive than waging an office Nerf battle with marketing.
In the modern economy it's not good enough to wade into each day with a new, untested strategy of how to approach the day's tasks. We move at speeds never seen before and have expectations put on us that are as vast as the information at our fingertips. Give yourself some cover and approach your day with a tried and true system. After all "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom"-Aristotle
There's a real difference between executing a plan and executing for the purpose of execution. It's important to understand that some of the best brands on social take the time to map out what will make their execution successful. If you have one takeaway from this article, always asks yourself "why would someone follow this page?"
The power of social is its ability to deliver content in every form, from any source, as fast as the consumer can type. This means that a social business must find ways to create compelling content, at a faster pace, to the right consumer before their competitor. Good luck.
390 million monthly active users and your brand isn't there? It's quiet and heating up over in G+ land and you need stay up on the latest from Google. Hashtags, photos, hangouts, and streams all new to the ripe social network.
Do you really need another reason to move to Austin? Forget the fact that I had to choose between 4 music shows last night and City Hall gave out free breakfast to bike commuters this morning, this city is loaded with talented people that live to live. Startups that aren't considering Austin as a place to launch are missing out.
Alright, paper airplanes down, I want to know--what is the most interesting thing that you read this week? Tweet me at @AustinLytle and let me know
