Instagram Video Publishing is Now Available in Spredfast

You’ve probably heard this before, but it’s worth revisiting: your customers are seeking out brands to engage with on Instagram. In fact, over 200 million Instagram users visit at least one Business Profile per day. As the fastest-growing social network for brands, Instagram now boasts over 25 million business profiles worldwide, representing 70% of US businesses.

People flock to Instagram “to be inspired and discover things they care about”. But inspiring your customers requires more than just a presence on Instagram. It requires effective storytelling to consistently engage audiences. And when it comes to storytelling, sight, sound and motion remain a powerful combo. The proliferation of video content on Instagram has been one of the driving forces behind the network’s rapid adoption by brands, as they search for more effective ways to connect with their customers. And it’s working. Of those who use Instagram Video today, 78% of marketers have found it to be an effective strategy.

Instagram Video Publishing is now available in Spredfast

Historically, brands have been limited to publishing video natively on Instagram—third-party platforms like Spredfast could only enable direct publishing of images and text through Instagram’s API. Today, that all changes: Spredfast customers now have the ability to publish video directly to Instagram.

We’re proud to be the first Instagram partner to support this new capability. Over the last four months, we’ve partnered with Instagram and innovative story tellers like Live Nation to develop a frictionless workflow for publishing Instagram Video content, without ever having to leave the Spredfast platform.

Extending support for Instagram video publishing within the Spredfast platform will allow our customers to publish content more efficiently. It will also allow them to access rich video analytics that will help shape content strategy and articulate business value. Spredfast users can now:

  • Schedule Instagram videos directly within Spredfast, without the need to publish from the Instagram app
  • Apply labels to Instagram video posts to understand attribution and optimize video content strategies
  • View or filter Instagram video posts, alongside other scheduled or published content, in the Spredfast Calendar

After launching Instagram publishing earlier this year, support for video publishing is a natural evolution for brands looking to publish to Instagram with the full power of the Spredfast platform, including the governance, collaboration, and operational efficiency they’ve come to expect.
