Mass Relevance CEO Inducted Into ClickZ Digital Marketing Hall of Fame

Last night, Mass Relevance CEO and Co-Founder Sam Decker was recognized as one of the newest members of the ClickZ Digital Marketing Hall of Fame!

It is an honor to be recognized by ClickZ, the world’s largest resource for interactive marketing news and information. Unlike previous years, this is the first time ClickZ has awarded industry leaders as opposed to agencies and brands. This year’s winners include Alexandra Shapiro, EVP of Marketing and Digital at USA Network, Noah Tratt, Global Vice President of Expedia Media Solutions, and Chris Copeland, CEO of GroupM Next.

Candidates were selected based on their achievements and influential work to redefine the marketing industry. The winners were announced Wednesday evening during a cocktail reception at the SES Conference & Expo in San Francisco.

Sam has been a digital marketing guru since before MySpace was cool - that’s right folks, 1999! His list of accomplishments is as tall as he is (if you haven’t met our fearless leader, rest assured he stands head & shoulders above the average man). He is internationally recognized for his expertise in e-commerce, digital word-of-mouth and social media marketing. Sam co-founded Mass Relevance in 2011 and has grown the company into a global powerhouse that has delivered more than 30 billion pieces of social content to multiple digital surfaces to support some of the largest events and marketing campaigns in recent history.

Prior to Mass Relevance, Sam was founding Chief Marketing Officer at Bazaarvoice. He was pivotal in encouraging retailers and brands to adopt customer reviews, which are now table stakes for the industry. Before joining Bazaarvoice, he spent 7 years of leadership at Dell, where he built into the largest consumer eCommerce site at $3.5 bllion in annual sales.

I’ve also heard that he wrestled a white bengal tiger with his bare hands (and won, of course), had a gold iPhone in 1995, defeated the Sharknado, and is the royal baby’s godfather. This man may just be the most interesting man in the world.
