We Hacked Our Crib. Here’s the video.
Last week was our second bi-annual Hack Week at Mass Relevance – a full week dedicated to innovation, creativity and #teamswork. We set aside our daily tasks and formed cross-functional teams to explore new ideas to move our company forward. Given five core categories for projects (technology, culture, SXSW, scale and whitespace), we teamed up around with colleagues to deliver out of the box solutions in each area.
The food, drinks and ideas flowed all week long, and on Friday we regrouped to present the results of the 25+ projects completed during the week. The ideas ranged from innovative hacks of our current products to data cleanup and sales strategies.
My team, dubbed “Not Boarding Onboarding,” wanted to make it easier for new Mass Relevance employees to get up to speed on our company, our technology, our market and our culture. We believe we have a truly special environment at Mass Relevance, and we want every new employee to feel like the welcome, valued team member that they are, right from day one. With that in mind, we decided to create a series of entertaining, helpful videos that all new hires could watch upon joining the Mass Relevance family. The videos will cover topics such as product training, our corporate history, core values, what to expect day one on the job, a dictionary of our acronyms and a tour of our intranet.
The first video in the series is a MTV Cribs-style tour of our office, hosted by our charismatic Director of Engineering, Michael Pazienza. We hope you have as much fun watching it as we had making it! Check it out.
