Let's Show The World Why Social is Here For Good

The winter holidays give us time to reflect on the year, to appreciate what we have, and to give back to our community. In the spirit of the season, we ask for your support on social to shine a light on five truly inspiring nonprofits.

At Spredfast, #BeNiceAndSocial is our way of supporting youth, not just during the holidays, but all year long. And this year, we are donating our time and money to five incredible nonprofits empowering the world's youth. Below you'll learn all about these fantastic nonprofits going above and beyond to support youth in need. With your help, we can show the world why social is here for good.

1 | CASA / A Guardian For Every Child

Mission—To provide a court-appointed volunteer to serve as guardian for every child in need.

CASA Child Advocates are appointed by Judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children. Advocates make sure that the children don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social services, or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes. They stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many children, their CASA Advocate will be the one constant adult presence in their lives during this time.

2 | Make A Wish / Grant a Needed Wish

Mission—To grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.

In the United States and its territories, on average, a wish is granted every 37 minutes. Make-A-Wish believes a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides and inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids they serve. Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A-Wish®vision every day. And now you can support them too.

3 | Safe Place / Help Stop Exploitation

Mission: To lead in ending sexual assault and exploitation, through prevention, intervention and advocacy for change.

The SafePlace campus provides Safety for individuals and families affected by sexual and domestic violence. They focus on helping victims in their healing, so they can move beyond the crimes committed against them. SafePlace works to create change in attitudes, behaviors and policies that perpetuate sexual and domestic violence.

4 | LifeWorks / Pave a Bright Future

Mission: To be fearless advocates for youth and families seeking their path to self-sufficiency.

LifeWorks supports thousands of young men and women who’ve endured circumstances that are unimaginable. Abuse. Neglect. Abandonment. Violence. From emergency shelter and counseling services to our education services, workforce training, and transitional living—everything they do is focused on creating self-sufficient individuals, and in turn, strong, stable families. LifeWorks offers more than 20 programs that can be accessed alone or in combination to help youth and families achieve self-reliance.

5 | Ronald McDonald House Charities

Mission: To offer a home away from home providing care, compassion and hope to families with seriously ill children.

It’s something we see every day–children healing because their families surround them. And while RMHC may not be able to make the medicine taste better or erase the pain of a much-needed treatment, they help lessen the burden for over 5 million families a year. Since 1974, their network of local Chapters have been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together–giving them a place to rest and refresh. A place that feels like home.

You don’t have to choose just one of these worthy causes to support. Simply tweet one, some, or all, and we will donate to them in your name. The leaders of tomorrow need our support today, so let’s go do some good.
