Spredfast Strengthens Executive Team With New Sales and Business Development Leadership
AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 10, 2011 -- Spredfast, a leading social media management system provider, today announced the recent addition of two new executive team members. Joining the team are Randy Potts as chief sales officer and Dan Doman as vice president of business development. Building off of a strong third quarter of customer acquisition, having added enterprises such as Wells Fargo and Coty to the roster, as well as expansion of the Spredfast social business platform to offer Facebook tab management capabilities and enhanced conversation management and security options, both will be instrumental in further driving growth across the organization. Potts joins Spredfast with over 30 years of sales leadership and brings a core understanding of enterprise software sales. In his capacity as chief sales officer, Potts will be tasked with growing the company's revenue. He most recently served as the vice president of sales at Convio, during which he successfully led the company from $5 million in revenue to explosive sales growth and through an IPO. During his career, Potts has held other key sales executive roles at companies including Careerbuilder, Inc., Platinum Technology International and Legent Corporation, which was acquired by CA. Potts is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Petroleum Land Management. Doman joined the company earlier this year in the role of VP of business development and is responsible for managing Spredfast's partner relationships and corporate development efforts. Prior to joining Spredfast, Doman most recently served as director of business development at venture capital firm, Austin Ventures. In this capacity, he focused on early stage investments in the new media, Internet and social software industries. He has previous experience in the early stage venture capital business, as well as investment banking.
